Billing Management
Manage your subscription, payment methods, and billing information from your dashboard.
Accessing Billing Settings
To access your billing settings:
- Log in to your RoleDeck account
- Go to your dashboard
- Click "Billing" in the sidebar navigation
- You'll see your current subscription status and billing options
Viewing Your Subscription Status
The Billing page shows:
- Current Plan: Your active subscription plan (or "Free Tier")
- Status: Whether your subscription is active, expired, or cancelled
- Billing Period: Monthly or annual billing cycle
- Next Billing Date: When your next payment will be processed
- Payment Method: The card or payment method on file
Managing Payment Methods
To update your payment method:
- Go to the Billing section
- Find the "Payment Method" section
- Click "Update" or "Change Payment Method"
- Enter your new payment information
- Save the changes
Make sure to keep your payment method up to date to avoid service interruptions.
Upgrading Your Plan
To upgrade to a higher plan:
- Go to the Billing section
- Review available plan options
- Click "Upgrade" on your desired plan
- Complete the checkout process
- Your account will be upgraded immediately
- You'll be charged the prorated difference or full amount based on billing terms
Downgrading Your Plan
To downgrade to a lower plan:
- Go to the Billing section
- Select a lower-tier plan
- Confirm the downgrade
- Your plan change will typically take effect at the end of your current billing period
- You'll retain access to premium features until the period ends
⚠️ Important
When downgrading, make sure you're not exceeding the limits of the lower plan. For example, if you have 20 decks and downgrade to a plan that allows 10, you may need to delete some decks before the downgrade takes effect.
Cancelling Your Subscription
To cancel your subscription:
- Go to the Billing section
- Find the cancellation option (usually at the bottom of the page)
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm the cancellation
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of your paid period
- You'll be moved to the free tier after cancellation takes effect
You can reactivate your subscription at any time before the end of your billing period.
Viewing Billing History
The Billing section may include:
- Past invoices and receipts
- Payment history
- Billing cycle information
- Download options for receipts (if available)
Keep your billing history for tax or expense tracking purposes.
Billing Best Practices

- ✓Review your billing statements regularly to ensure charges are correct
- ✓Set calendar reminders for billing dates if you're on a subscription
